Gravel Driveway Installation & Culvert Pipe in Mount Prospect, IL

For this project, we installed a new gravel driveway and buried a culvert pipe beneath it to manage water flow across the property entrance.

Before work began, we marked out the driveway layout precisely on the lawn, then excavated and set the culvert pipe in a gravel bed along the edge of the road. The pipe allows water to move freely under the driveway rather than pooling or eroding the ground around it. Fresh gravel was then laid across the full width of the drive, bringing it from a bare, unmarked area to a clean and functional surface.

A properly installed culvert paired with a well-graded gravel driveway protects the lawn edge, keeps the entrance stable during heavy rain, and gives the homeowner a durable, low-maintenance surface that holds up season after season.
